Maybe.  This maybe true for some, but not many.  Remember, financial advice does not necessarily drain your pocket (if it does, you are probably with the wrong person).  Also, financial decisions are not simply rational, mathematical decisions.  It is about making choices that will impact lives.  A financial advisor should help you make thoughtful decisions.  Studies have shown repeatedly that people with a financial advisor fair significantly better than those who do not have one.
